Mariners Hospital employees who donated 15 or more volunteer hours during calendar year 2008 were recognized recently at a special ceremony hosted by Mariners Hospital administration. The employees donated their time to represent the hospital at events such as the American Cancer SocietyÕs Relay for Life, baking cookies and pizza at the Florida Keys ChildrenÕs Shelter, cleaning up roadways and parks, the Bougainvillea Ball and the Mariners Hospital Gordon Present 5K Walk/Run. A total of 49 employees volunteered 900 hours Ð an increase of almost 60 percent over the prior year.
