A lot of sweat, huffing and puffing -- and remarkably agile moves -- were evident Wednesday, Jan. 28, as the Keys Sea Cows took to the basketball court in their first practice game. The Sea Cows will be playing an exhibition fundraising game against the Harlem Ambassadors, a Harlem-Globetrotters' style basketball team, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. About half of the Sea Cows team -- a combination of desk jockeys, cops, teachers, tradesmen, restaurateurs and bankers -- showed up for the first team meeting and practice Wednesday night at the Coral Shores High School gym. The Sea Cows will practice at 6 p.m. every Wednesday until game night, which is 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. Everyone is invited to come watch the practice and cheer on the team.
