Sally Scott, 81, of Tavernier, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, Oct. 18. She was born in Scranton, Pa. on June 23, 1928.

She retired from United Airlines in 1984 and made her home in Tavernier for the past 25 years.

Sally was active in the Elks Lodge and Mariners Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing video poker. She faithfully attended San Pedro Catholic Church. She enjoyed her many friends in the Keys and the friends she made around the world through her travel career. She was especially proud of the friends she made and the work she did during the New York World’s Fair and while employed at Grace Cruise Lines out of New York City.

Sally is survived by her sister, Pat Martin, and many nieces and nephews and many friends.

A memorial mass will be held at San Pedro Catholic Church in Tavernier, at mile marker 89.5 on Plantation Key on Nov. 14 at 5 p.m.

A reception and celebration of life will be held in the church’s conference room following the mass, where friends are encouraged to share their personal memories and stories about Sally.
