John A. “Chip” Pelletier of Key Largo died on Friday, Oct. 16 in Jackson Memorial Hospital after complications from surgery. He was born on Aug. 4, 1957 in Providence, R.I.
He earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in social science from Southeastern Massachusetts College, an associate’s degree in business management from Fisher Junior College, and an associate’s degree in electronics technology from ITT Tech. Chip worked as a title insurance processor in Massachusetts before relocating to Key Largo. He worked at Holiday Isle, Key Largo Shopper, Publix and at several marinas. He enjoyed volunteering at Habitat for Humanity and at the REEF. He loved Key Largo and enjoyed walking and biking and the friends he made along the way.
He is survived by his father, John M. Pelletier of Key Largo, his mother Estelle M. Pelletier of Attelboro, Mass., his two brothers, three sisters, eight nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by H.W. Beyer Funeral Home. A memorial service is being planned at Silver Shores. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to REEF, PO Box 246, Key Largo, FL 33037.
