Elizabeth Trachet, a longtime Key Largo resident, died on Oct. 7.

She was born on Aug. 30, 1916, in Sylvania, Ohio. She collected stamps for 60 years and was a Sunday school teacher and deacon in the Presbyterian church.

She participated in PTA in Pontiac, Mich., in the schools her children Robert and Karen attended. She filled her free time with crossword puzzles, crocheting, reading and baking.

In the Keys she donated time to the blood bank and at the voting polls, and was the secretary/treasurer for the Reef Runner Bowling League for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M.

She is survived by her son Robert A. of Key Largo; daughter Karen of Vero Beach; grandchildren, Karen, Victoria, Roberta, Christopher, Shane and Derek; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Private family services were held.
