Danielle Lebo brings 20 years of floral design experience to her new role at the helm of Flowers by J&J. </p><p>Lebo and her husband, Paul, purchased the business — and the commercial condominium unit it’s in — late last month.</p><p>Lebo said she worked in a flower shop in New Jersey, before moving to the Keys more than 20 years ago, and since then she’s worked part-time for a florist in Islamorada. </p><p>Owning the building and the business will give her more control over costs, she says. </p><p>Lebo promises to offer “really good prices,” including a special deal for locals — $45 for a dozen roses. </p><p>Flowers range from $15 for a simple arrangement to up to $100 and more, she says. “We truly have something for everyone.” </p><p>Flowers by J&J offers daily delivery in Marathon for $7 and every other day to Big Pine Key for $10 (with a minimum $40 order). It’s also affiliated with 1-800 Flowers through BloomNet, which means she can place orders for delivery elsewhere.</p><p>Lebo’s also an artist, selling painted Adirondack furniture and coconut postcards at shows and festivals throughout the Keys. The shop’s too small to feature the furniture, but she says it’s likely she’ll add the coconut postcards at some point.</p><p>She also plans to launch a holiday decorating service for people who don’t have the time or the artistic vision to tackle their Christmas trees. </p><p>“We’ll come to your house and put the lights on or do the whole thing,” she said.</p><p>Flowers by J&J is in Suite 9 of Gulfside Village, 5800 Overseas Highway. It’s open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
