Stanley Switlik School celebrates its 9th annual "Red, White, and Blue Day" Tuesday, Nov. 10. </p><p>Started following the 9/11 attacks, the program was launched to instill a sense of patriotism in the school, and to honor the people in our community who strive to keep us safe and free. </p><p>This year's celebration will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the school cafeteria. The entire student body will be in attendance.</p><p>The fifth grade chorus classes will provide special music, "American Tears," and "Welcome Home." Essays entitled, "What I Can Do For My Country," will be read by student authors. </p><p>The U.S. Coast Guard station in Marathon will be participating in Tuesday's ceremonies.
