Ensure your credit, debit cards' safety against fraud

June 25, 2014

Recently my credit card was stolen and used without my knowledge and a large number of items were charged to my card. At local stores, taxi service, groceries, restaurants and more.

It is on the back of my card to ask for ID but apparently the stores do no ask anymore, so please insist that they do ask when you use your credit card, and maybe you will not get hit with more than $5,000 in charges in six days like I did.

So my advice to all is to make each store ask for proper ID; it may take a few seconds longer but have the ID ready. It can save you a lot of headaches and time on the phone getting everything cleared up.
