Lower Keys drug sweep nets a dozen suspects

A dozen people were arrested Monday and Tuesday on a combined 27 warrants during a Monroe County Sheriff's Office drug sweep in the Lower Keys, the agency says. They are all apparently unrelated, spokeswoman Becky Herrin says. The suspects:

  • Luis Camejo, 59, of Big Coppitt Key. Charges: One felony count of drug sales (schedule three or four controlled substances), one felony count of sale of cocaine.

  • Susan Davalos, 40, of Stock Island. Charge: One felony count of trafficking heroin, one felony count of sale of drugs (schedule one, two, three or four controlled substances).

  • Adrian Morales, 28, of Stock Island: Four counts of sale of cocaine, one felony count of sale of heroin, four felony counts of using a two-way device to facilitate a felony, one misdemeanor count of counterfeiting, one misdemeanor count of possessing marijuana, one felony count of possessing drug equipment.

  • Robert Struckus, 22, of Key West: One felony count of selling marijuana, one felony count of selling cocaine, one felony count of distributing marijuana, one felony count of using a two-way radio to facilitate a felony.

  • Christopher Garcia, 30, of Key West: Two felony counts of selling opium, two felony counts of using a two-way radio to facilitate a felony, one misdemeanor count of resisting an officer.

  • Deanna Palacios, 39, of Stock Island: Two felony counts of selling opium, one felony count of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, one felony count of using a two-way device to facilitate a felony, one misdemeanor count of selling opium.

  • Christopher Purcell, 26, of Stock Island: Two felony counts of selling opium, two felony counts of using a two-way device to facilitate a felony.

  • Juan c. Noa, 23, of Stock Island: One felony count of selling heroin, one felony count of selling drugs (schedule one, two, three or four controlled substance).

  • John Woodson, 28, of Key West: Two misdemeanor counts of possessing opium.

  • Eric Myles, 37, of Florida City (arrested last week): One felony count of selling cocaine.

  • Ricky Gardner, 22, of Stock Island: One misdemeanor count of possessing marijuana, one misdemeanor count of possessing drug equipment.

  • Still wanted as of Wednesday: Alain Menendez, 23, of Big Coppitt Key: One felony count of trafficking heroin and one felony count of selling counterfeit cocaine.
