Sugarloaf man accused of molesting minor girl

April 19, 2014

A Sugarloaf Key man arrested Thursday on two felonies alleging he molested a young girl remained in the Keys jail Friday on $300,000 bond.

Emanuel Llama, 32, is charged with lewd and lascivious behavior with a child between ages 12 and 16, and lewd and lascivious molestation of a child between ages 12 and 16.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says Llama, whom jail records say is a pipe layer on Cudjoe Key, started the abuse in July 2012.

Deputy Becky Herrin said girl's mother came home on April 3 and found Llama naked in her 13-year-old daughter's bedroom. A confrontation ensued and Llama left.

That's when the girl told her mother and a friend that Llama forced her to have sex on numerous occasions, Herrin said. She said he also forced her to watch pornographic movies with him, Herrin said.

Llama is no stranger to Keys law enforcement. His Monroe County rap sheet goes back to 2003, when he was arrested for engaging in a pawnbroker business without a license and dealing in stolen property.

Subsequent charges included burglary, grand theft, violating saltwater fishing regulations, violation of probation and giving a false name to law enforcement.
