Contemporary and traditional offerings and original tunes by Florida Keys performing songwriters are to highlight the musical menu during the Island Grass Music Fest, set for 1 to 6 p.m. Feb. 23 on Ramrod Key.
The musical afternoon benefits Habitat for Humanity of Key West and the Lower Florida Keys and takes place at Boondocks Grille & Draft House, mile marker 27.5 on U.S. 1.
The lineup features a host of seasoned performers whose talents enrich the Keys music scene, among them Howard Livingston, the Doerfel Family, Bill Blue & the Nervous Guys, Pat McCune, the Piper Road Spring Band and a trio composed of Gary Hempsey, Ron Baumann and event producer Terry Cassidy.
Those attending can purchase food and beverages to enjoy with the music and bid on items at a silent auction to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Vendor booths and raffles round out the afternoon.
