Vicki Walker will now oversee branch operations for both Upper Keys offices of Centennial Bank - in Key Largo and Islamorada.
"Vicki's work in opening the new branch location and growing our Islamorada market has been significant," said Stephanie Scuderi, vice president and director of sales for Centennial Bank's South Florida region. "We are excited for the opportunities looking at the market as a whole and congratulate Vicki on her contributions to the bank in the short time she's been with us.
Walker joined Centennial Bank in 2012 with more than 34 years of banking experience. Originally from Virginia, her experience includes work with Harbor Bank in Virginia and Capital Bank here in the Keys.
In the community, Walker recently earned the Good Health Clinic's Big Kahuna award for raising almost $16,000 for the organization and was subsequently named the clinic's Unsung Hero. She served on the Islamorada Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 2005-2009, including serving as president in 2007-08.
Walker is currently a Chamber Ambassador. A graduate of Leadership Monroe County Class XVI, Walker has been a member of Upper Keys BPW since 2004, serving on the board in 2006-08.
She was Runner Up for the Peoples' Choice Woman of the Year six years running, from 2005-2010. In addition to her work with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, Walker is a lifetime member of Mariners Auxiliary and a three-time Take Stock in Children mentor whose student recently graduated.
