Members of the Florida Keys Watercolor Society, comprising painters from Key Largo to Key West, kicked off their 32nd season Jan. 15 at the Martin Luther Chapel in Marathon.
The organization has a judged exhibition's opening reception on March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gallery of the Marathon Community Theater, mile marker 49.5 oceanside. Pianist Richard Foley will entertain, and there will be hors d'oeuvres, a raffle, door prizes and a cash bar.
The exhibit can be viewed from March 13 through April 12 each Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and before curtain and during intermissions of the Marathon Community Theatre's production of the musical "Nine to Five."
Other Watercolor Society shows planned are at the Redbone Gallery in Islamorada and the Key West Art Center. Dates are March 20 through April 2, with receptions at the Redbone, 200 Morada Way, on March 20 from 6 to 9 p.m.; and at the Key West Art Center, 301 Front St., from 5 to 7 p.m. March 21.
