Miami man sought in Upper Keys break-in

December 18, 2013

A video-surveillance camera at an Islamorada shopping plaza recorded a Dec. 8 burglary in progress, says the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Now detectives are looking for a suspect identified as Orlando Mora, 54, of Miami.

Mora "is currently wanted for two counts each of burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief and grand theft," Sheriff's Office information officer Becky Herrin said Monday.

Detective Robert Dosh said in a report that video shows Mora breaking the front-door locks on two businesses, Innovative Technology Solutions and Blue Water Weddings, both in a commercial building near mile marker 81.

"He took a laptop computer from Blue Water Weddings and two television sets from Innovative Technology Solutions," according to the Sheriff's Office.

Mora was seen loading the items into a white Ford pickup truck.

People with information about Mora's location should contact the Sheriff’s Office, or call Crime Stoppers of the Florida Keys hotline at  (800) 346-TIPS.
