Laurie’s Deli in the plaza at 11090 Overseas Highway, Marathon, is opening its doors into the wee hours.

Night owls, early risers and insomniacs can now find the deli serving up food — and hot and iced coffees — from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Owner Laurie Tencelski, who reopened the eatery by Coldwell Banker Schmitt a couple of months ago, says she’s responding to a plethora of requests from customers, including folks who work the late shift and fishermen heading out well before dawn.

The deli will retain its usual breakfast and lunch hours of 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

The deli serves up homemade soups, salads and pastries, as well as a variety of sandwiches and other dishes. Diners in need of a pickup will also find iced and Cuban coffee.

Tencelski’s working to keep prices affordable, with daily hot specials that run about $5, and portions are generous. The deli also offers catering services.

The deli can be reached at 743-2000.
