The Dancing Classrooms program, modeled on the program developed in New York City and made famous in the documentary “Mad Hot Ballroom," was introduced into the curriculum this year at Stanley Switlik Elementary School and at Marathon Middle School, with Nina Locardi, Maria Luther and Christina Belotti teaching.
On the night of April 22, the eighth-graders showed a full house at the Marathon High School auditorium what they’d learned — performing for parents, friends, and members of the community.
