What's called the Amazing Race of Islamorada will serve as a good test of endurance in the hot Florida Keys sun.

Sponsored by the Islamorada Wrestling Club and Robbie's Marina, it consists of a three-mile run, a two-mile kayak trip and a six-mile bike ride.

The event is set for 10 a.m. Nov. 21 and will be based at Robbie's, mile marker 77.5.

Teams must consist of either three people (one person per category) or one person who will participate in all three categories. The three race divisions are open, women and high school students ages 16 and above.

Winners will be based on their overall time. An award will be given for best uniform.

The Islamorada Wrestling Club, a wrestling and mentoring program for teens, will receive a portion of the proceeds.

The entry fee is $85 per team, which includes a gift bag and lunch for each team member. Teams must provide their own bikes and kayaks.
